Silly kids

We went to a church activity at a park the other day.  As we stood in a line for face painting, I asked Middle Sis. what she wanted to have them paint on her face.  "A dead man."  she replied.  (Middle Sis seems to like to say off-the-wall things--which I am used to, so I was not too surprised...she makes us laugh all the time and I never know what she is going to think of next--but it's usually sure to amuse!).

I replied, "Uh, no.  You can't have that.  You'll have to think of something more positive."

"Then I don't know what!" Came her response. 

This girl, seriously cracks me up.  Since I wouldn't let her have a "dead man" painted on her cheek, she just couldn't think of anything else?   Too funny!  

I suggested a mustache which put her back in a good mood.  Little Sis, to my chagrin, wanted a mustache too!   Silly girls! What is up with mustaches being so popular?

The other day the kids were out playing and I heard some fighting so I stuck my head out the door in time to hear Baby Sis say, as forcefully as she could, "I"M NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT!"  

I had to chuckle, but am so happy that she is learning to communicate her feelings through words.
