Real quick post and no pictures. I just finished my fourth week of the nursing program. Craziness. Last week was the worse because I got pretty sick Monday and Tuesday and then had a test on Wednesday. My experience has been that if I do my very best, the Lord will always help me. So, I just sat miserably in my bed those two days and studied and studied...then took a nap and studied some more. I got a B on the test, so once again I see the Lord helping me!
It seems like I spend the majority of my time doing homework or studying now. I try to fit in time with the kids each day and we still go on outings and such. But when we are home, if I am not getting them food, or checking the laundry, I am studying. Thank goodness we are still in summer mode so it's working out just fine right now. I am thinking things will be a better after this term. I have a really tough Pathophysiology class which is taking most of my time. Counting down the six weeks left of that one!
My kids are being great about it. They are sweet and wish me luck on my tests and such. Little Sis will sometimes say, "Have a great day at school mom!" Sweetie!
The kids are doing great. My boys had a great week at scout camp. It sounds like it was beautiful and they had a lot of fun. They each earned 3-4 merit badges (including archery, shot gun, rifle, camping, emergency preparedness, chess, and woodworking). I am happy they had such a good time and got to learn so much!
Today, my oldest two left for a Youth conference to Nauvoo, Ill. I am excited for them to have this experience as well.
Last month I also signed my boys up for an archery class with the local club. It is a 10 week class and they they provide equipment. Last night, my boys decided to keep score for the first time and both earned two pins (based on the bow they used and distance they shot at) you can earn a lanyard and pins (you pay a small fee for these). It is all under the Junior Olympic Archery Development program (JOAD). Pretty fun!
Gotta go now--two tests next week! Hopefully, I will find time to post some pictures sometime!
