Last Friday I brought most of my kids to the library and we ended up checking out with 93 items! I told my friend that little fact and she said, "You know you're a homeschooler when....".
Yep, I have enjoyed our two weeks off of school and extra activities! REALLY enjoyed not having to drive the kids somewhere just about every day! REALLY happy to not have to wake up at 5:30am to bring Big Sis to early morning seminary!
On New Year's Eve, I wanted to do something fun as a family. We decided to just have a game night with some yummy snacks and then sparkling white grape juice at midnight. We rented Just Dance 4. It was fun to see all my boys and their Dad dancing away together....and even my little Baby Sis trying to do the moves. So cute!
For dessert, I looked online (oh, what would I do without the internet?!) and decided to have a chocolate fondue bar! I found a recipe online to make the fondue in my crockpot. The kids and I went shopping earlier that day and bought marshmallows, graham crackers, pretzels, strawberries, apples, and cookies to dip in the chocolate. Big Sis. also made a batch of brownies which we cut into bite size pieces. It was pretty good and the kids got a kick out of dipping the different things in the chocolate.
Big Sis ended up babysitting for friends that night so she celebrated the New Year by herself...not the most exciting, but she does enjoy earning money and her "employers" were so sweet to have lots of treats and snacks for her (which they made her bring home with her...lucky for us!).
Now it's back to work and a schedule!

What a fun night for you guys! We wish you lived closer so Big Sis could be our employee as well!
