This week we are trying to get the boys room ready to be painted. At one point I told the kids that Big Sis and I were going downstairs to do some sanding. We were going to sand the first layer of joint compound. A little while after we started, the two little girls had to come down and see what we were doing. Little Sis came over and asked:
"Is she putting sand on the wall?"
At first I thought that was just a random crazy question, but then I remembered that I had told her we were going downstairs to "do some sanding"! Lol...I can only imagine what a 4-year old thinks "sanding" is!
Yesterday, Baby Sis brought me an ABC board book and asked me to read it to her. As we looked through it, I pointed out the different letters and pictures, said what the pictures were and she repeated the words after me. When there was a picture of some type of food, I would pretend to eat the food and Baby Sis would copy me and do the same. We continued in this way through the book.
When we got to "V" I said "Oooh! Vegetables!" and pretended to eat them. Baby Sis copied me as usual, and promptly said, "Ooooo, that didusting!" (her way of saying that's disgusting) Too funny! It is amazing how fast they pick up on certain things (I guess having lots of opinionated older siblings may do that!)!
