Aliyah continues to amaze me as she shouts out a cheerful "Hi-i!" to many people we pass by throughout our days. It seems to catch people off guard, but most say Hi or wave back.
Today, while taking a walk around our neighborhood:
Aliyah asked, "Mom, where are we?"
"Uh....in the neighborhood." I replied.
She said, "Oh", as we kept walking.
A couple of minutes later we passed by an older couple in front of their home. Aliyah called out a loud and cheerful, "Hi-i!"
The lady turned and said, "Well, hello! How are you?"
Aliyah, still walking, replied, "Good........we're in the neighborhood."
One day, Aliyah was watching a Barbie movie. She doesn't typically watch them so I peaked at her every so often to see how she was doing. At one point an advertisement played for another Barbie movie. Aliyah was watching intently.
Then the character said something like, "Come with me to a magical land..."
Aliyah got a puzzled look on her face and said,"Huh?"
That she was actually considering those words cracked me up! How confusing our world must be to toddlers sometimes!
