Alex is exhausted after three weeks of being mostly away from home. First, she was a girls camp for a week with 60-something other young ladies from our church.
The next week, she attended Youth Conference (this time with young men and young ladies from our church). This year for Youth Conf. they had a pioneer trek theme. So, they all dressed in pioneer type clothes and did lots of walking and other activities to help them understand a little of what the pioneers went through. Finally, the day after she got home from Youth Conf. I drove her out to Iowa to meet up with a friend and head to EFY.
EFY (Especially For Youth program) is a week long camp put on by BYU in various places around the nation. We decided to send Alex to Nauvoo, Il. This picture is of Alex with only part of her group in front of the Nauvoo Temple. She had an "Amazing" time. It was not only tons of fun, but also a great learning experience for her.
While Alex was gone, I got to spend more quality time with my little ones. We spent on day at the spray park with my sis and her kids. The water was super cold, but the sun was burning hot! Quite a contrast! The first time Adi touched the water, she ran away crying. Later, she found a little spout just the right height! That was much better for her. Thank you Mr./Mrs. Spray-park-designer for making a little fountain at just the right height for my baby! She loved it!

How fun for Alex! I've been wanting to take my kids to a spray park, but I've yet to make it there. I'm afraid Katelyn would have the same reaction as Adi!
