What is Up?

-Dallin and Michaela have been practicing for a Thanksgiving Pageant that they will be in tomorrow. A friend of our family wrote this pageant based on the true story of the first Thanksgiving. Each year she gets a group of children together and they perform it at a local senior living facility. Dallin will be Samoset and Michaela is a pilgrim. They are very excited to be involved and I am excited at all they are getting to learn by being involved!

-Baby is nine months old now! She has recently started waving one hand and is also getting better and better at balancing while standing and not holding on to anything.

-Michaela was way excited to lose her first tooth.

-Boys are already trying to get in the picture with my oldest daughter. Luckily, she is wise enough to know that 14 is too young to start getting involved in those kinds of relationships! She is a smart and talented and very creative. I am so happy she is learning to be able to express her creativity through dancing, art, and baking yummy desserts!

-Evan and Dallin are in a question everything/be sarcastic phase. It is amusing to me to see how they are growing into young men as they begin to think and reason for themselves. For "Health" with the boys, I have been reading a book with them (Growing Up by Brad Wilcox) about growing up and all those "changes" they will experience in adolescence (not my favorite thing to do, but better me than who knows who or what else!).

At one point I mentioned something like, "....when you are older and like girls...". Dallin's jaw dropped and he said, "We're gonna like girls?!?" He was so sincerely shocked that I just had to laugh!

-Aliyah is busy practicing classic two-year old sayings like, "No!" and "I can do it by myself!". Oh, and she has learned how to push Stephan's buttons simply by looking at him. Can you say "Love at Home"?

-My chemistry class has been a challenge. I have learned a lot and am grateful for the knowledge I have gained. I also have more appreciation for chemists and scientists in general! However, my brain is tired and can't wait until these last three weeks are over!

I love the way you tell about your family! I always get at least one good chuckle when I read your blog. Can't wait to see you all this week!
