PAST
Before I had Aliyah, I took Michaela with me to one of my doctor's appointments. On the way out of the office, someone smiled at her and as we walked out she asked, "Mom, why do people like me?"
I laughed and said,"Because you are a good girl."
"No, I'm not," she replied, "I'm naughty."
Now, I do have a little more trouble with Michaela than all of my other children put together, but I assured her that although sometimes she did naughty things, she really was a good girl. I did hear once that we need to be careful how we talk to our children. Here is my evidence that that is true!
PRESENT
Baby Aliyah is three weeks old now and doing great. At her two week check-up she had already gained one pound and an inch in length! Half of us had the flu last week and I am so thankful Aliyah didn't catch anything!
FUTURE
I am excited to be slowly losing the baby weight. Okay, I'd be more excited to quickly lose the baby weight, but I am not going to depress myself--it will happen.....eventually. It is all for a good cause, after all!

Cute story about Michaela. . .and don't bother yourself about the baby weight. I always took my mom's advice and never stepped on a scale until at least 6 weeks (I was certain to have lost SOMETHING after 6 weeks!)
