Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all!  We are feeling blessed to have so many great friends and loving family!   Here are some of our family updates:

The Dad--Switched jobs, then switched jobs again.  Now is loving his job at a local bike shop--he's totally in his element there.  He is finishing up classes for his bachelor's degree and training like crazy for bike racing in the spring.

The Mom (Me)-- Finally started nursing school (part-time).  Left nursing school because "part-time" was still a lot of time and my family can't raise itself (it tried).  The program was tough, but I did love learning how to help people.  I will complete my associate degree instead and see where the Lord directs me from there.  I am enjoying being able to again focus on homeschooling and raising the children.  I know that home is where I am supposed to be.

Big Sis-- Senior year!   Not sure what she is going to do next year.  Has been working at her first job, participating in her church youth group, and volunteering at a local hospital.  She is beautiful, creative, and loves having fun with her friends!

Big Bro--Freshman year!   Doing great getting up for his first year of early morning Seminary (Big Sis's attendance has never been so good thanks to the fact that she has to drive him).   Loves hanging with friends, continues to advance in Boyscouts, and is a smarty pants in his school work.

Middle Bro--7th grade!  Continues to advance in Boyscouts, loved his first time at Scout camp.  Continues to love chess and strategic game playing.   Participated, along with Big Bro., in a First Lego League team where they created and programmed a robot to complete tasks and missions.

Middle Sis--4th grade!   Learning to crochet and cross stitch and other crafty things.  Loves Activity Days at church with other girls her age!  Loves playing with friends and creating anything!   Has not lost her crazy edge.

Little Bro--2nd grade!   Does not like school work, but is doing great!   Loves video games, riding his bike, and having fun!

Little Sis--5 years old!   Learning to read and write.  Very loving, friendly, and social.   Taught herself to ride a bike without training wheels.

Baby Sis--3 years old!  (Will be 4 soon, but I don't want to think about that)  She is my big helper!   She always wants to help me do laundry, dishes, or other jobs.   She loves babies and playing house.   She taught herself to write her name.  Growing too fast!

**Silly Middle Sis gave me the funniest Christmas wish list I have ever read.   Here are some of the things she put on it:

Blankets, Love, paper--a lot, Christmas to be tomorrow, a tree so I can have a tree house, presents--a lot, a wig, to remember when I was 2 and 1, a manikin --with no eyes--and no head, a D.S.Y (when asked what a DSY is, she replied, "It's not invented yet"), peace to the world, a lot of beards, ipod or ipad, candy, Iphone 2 or 3--or 1 (not), legos--a lot, 2 front teeth--not mine--so I can get money, a picture of God or Jesus...
