Me: (upon waking in the morning and finding Aliyah lying on one side of me and Adi on the other): Come on. Let's get up.
Aliyah (whispering): No. We can't get up. We sleeping!
Stephan: Mom! My clock is running out of time!
Me: After getting a little overwhelmed in the kitchen by many children wanting this or that, I raised my voice in frustration and asked my kids to leave the kitchen and give me some room!
Aliyah: About ten minutes later came back to the kitchen and with hands on her hips and a very serious face asked, "Mom! ARE YOU CRAZY?!?"
Alex (the teenage girl): There are no cute boys in this city!
Dad (the dad): Why do you think I like living here?
