Three!

My little girl turned three today and I have to admit I am not all that sad about it. It is a magic number after all (if you don't know that School House Rock song you are missing out)!

Two months ago when it was her baby sister's birthday, Alex told her that it would be her birthday in two months. So, last week, when we excitedly told her, "Your birthday is in one week!" She got serious and yelled, "No! It two months!". This morning, when I told her that today was her birthday, she grinned and said, "It two months!" I love this girl's smile!

Okay, this cracks me up...at her cousin's birthday party, the kids all played hide-and-seek. During the second round, my sister-in-law motioned for me to look in her family room and this is what I saw:

I looked back at her and she said that when all the kids ran off to hide, Aliyah hopped up on the couch and hid--all on her own. I had to walk right up to the couch to even see where she was. Then her little head popped up. It was too cute!
Oh, yeah. She totally won that round. I'm not sure where she got her mad hide n' seek skills from! Although I did have a few hide n' seek wins of my own--you know, back in the day...
