We planned a party at Grandma and Grandpa's house, early in October, but Dallin woke up sick that day. He was such a good sport about postponing it! Working around the Husker games was a little tricky, but we finally found another time to make the trip up for his party.
Dallin wanted a Sonic heroes party. He and Evan planned some "games of skill" for all the cousins. We had to do these in Gma's basement due to wet weather. I just thought it was too cute. No money on fancy supplies or gimmics--just my two boys planning things like: who can jump the farthest and who is the strongest (who can run the fastest had to be cancelled since we couldn't be outside--maybe we can settle that question next year?).
Dallin is such a treat to have in our family. He has a crazy, spontaneous side, but also a very sweet and sincere side. It was a blessing to be able to celebrate his 9th year with us!
