Snapshots

I was not 'with-it' enough to get pictures of this. It was not one of those--oh, how cute, let me go get my camera days!
Too, bad. They would have been good pictures! I must also preface this by saying that Michaela hasn't gotten into stuff like this in a long time. So, I totally wasn't expecting it. She is good, real good.

First, Michaela got into Alex's purple nail polish. Painted her dollhouse, some toys (there is a little Polly Pocket dog that is totally purple! It is kind of funny, actually), spilled it on the carpet, stuck her finger in it, and painted her toes (not toe nails, toes).

I then hid the nail polish in my make-up bag in my room. Because she never gets into that. Until......later that same day! Yep, she got out my liquid foundation (which I never use--thus the full bottle--hee,hee), poured it on my carpet, watered a plant with it, and finger painted on my window and closet with it.

Ah, the joys of motherhood.....

Tonight, for FHE, we played a game where someone says a line from a movie and the rest have to guess which movie it is from. We each had a couple of turns and on the last round, Dallin said, "Oh, I got one!" and then he blurted out "Bloody _ell!" (If you are wondering, that is a phrase said quite often by Ron in Harry Potter. )

I couldn't help myself. I burst out laughing! When I got control of myself I said, "Uh, Dallin....I guess we forgot to tell you that that is not really a nice thing to say...."

He totally had no idea. And what a wonderful mother I am for letting him watch that movie and not being more aware of what I needed to teach him about it!
