Kids and cars

As usual, life is busy and I hardly have time to sit and blog about it! Time is flying and with it my children are growing like weeds. My baby just turned 1 and it is like some switch flipped and she is now a "big girl".

She always wants to sit up on the big chair at the computer like the big kids. Sometimes--okay a lot of times--she manages to kick them out of the chair and constantly reaches over to push the buttons on the keyboard! She also now likes holding the cell phone and putting it up to her ear and talking into it. Is there a "slow down and stay my baby for a while longer" button?

I love this pic. of the "big sister" arm around little sis! So sweet!

And here are brothers at the Pinewood Derby.

Speaking of sweet. The other day, Steph started crying because Michaela was telling him that he couldn't speak spanish. They were actually arguing about it! Seriously?!

I interrupted their yelling and asked Stephan, "So, how DO you know spanish?"

He answered, "Because I was born in China and the chinese people taught me spanish." Okay. So there you have it. I have lived with this little guy for 5 years now and am still learning new things about him! (for the record, I am thinking this stems from his love of China/Kung Fu ever since seeing Karate kid)

Dallin recently got to participate in a Pinewood Derby. Thanks to Kaci and Matt for helping with the cutting of the car! I just realized I didn't get a good picture of his finished car! The chocolate one in the picture was a little prize all the boys took home. Dallin actually ended up taking third place, so he felt pretty good about that.
It has also become a tradition for Dana to run the starting block on the track. It makes for a pretty fun family outing.
