Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Apologies for the late Christmas update! It has been so hard for me to find time to blog! Of course, when I finally sat down and tried, our computer had issues, so I couldn't anyway! We hope you all had a Wonderful Christ-filled Christmas!

Here are some notes on life around here lately...
Baby Adi--Yep. Walking. She started around 10 months old. Just refused to obey my wishes and wait a couple more months. She is just as sweet and cute as can be! No sibling rivalry here, we all adore her!

Toddler--three words "two years old". She loves trying to be a big kid like her siblings. Here she is fixing her hair with Alex's flat-iron (NOT plugged in). Her favorite movie lately has been "The Nightmare before Christmas". No idea how that came about. For the record I am not thrilled about her choice and have had to set limits on how much she can watch it! She walks around singing "This is Halloween" and in the movie, when they first show "Christmas Town" she claps and says "YaY!". It is too cute!

Preschooler--Steph loves super heroes, video games, and Kung Fu/Karate/air bending. Play some music and you'll be adorably entertained by his moves. Talk about Karate, Kung Fu, or Air bending and you'll be adorably entertained by his "skills". He is too adorable! I am sad to see him almost turning 5--4 has been such a fun year with him!

Fire Ball--Michaela adds flare to our family. How boring life would be without her "creative expressions"! She does have a soft, loving side, which has been fun to see coming out more this year. She loves to craft and create, doesn't believe in smiling for pictures, and stands on her head almost as much as her feet.
The boys--Dallin and Evan are my boys. I am so glad they have each other to work, play, and learn with! Dallin is a sweet boy and good friend. He likes Pokemon, video games, and playing with friends. Evan continued to play soccer and baseball this year. He also held his first "real" job selling concessions at the NE football games! I was pretty apprehensive about it--thinking 12 is pretty young to walk around a super-crowded, LOUD stadium and making correct change and all that. But, he did awesome!

Big Sis--Alex continues to create beauty all around her. We have enjoyed seeing her growth in playing piano, dancing, drawing, cooking. She is a great friend to those around her and THE BEST Big Sister!

This year the older 5 kids were involved in a Christmas play with some other Homeschooling friends. They performed it for close to 90 family and friends the week before Christmas! They were awesome and if you come over, I will play the whole hour-or-so long video for you so you can agree with me:).

I have been continuing to further my education this year in pursuit of a nursing degree. I also continue to homeschool and squeeze in church duties, excercise and sleep when I can. My children truly are my jewels and bless me beyond words!

Dana also went back to college this year. He has involved himself in local politics. He also became very involved with a cycling team in town and ran his first mini-triathalon. I don't plan on seeing him much when cycling season starts up in a couple of months!

Love this pic. of Aliyah....taken Christmas afternoon. She was just tuckered out and now, so am I! We had a great Christmas day and hope you did as well! Best wishes to all in the New Year!
