Racing

For those of you who aren't sick of my biking posts.....
Dana participated in a criterium race the other weekend. It was pretty cool to watch. The course was layed out around a couple of blocks right downtown in front of the capitol. It was a 30-minute timed race (pretty much a sprint). Because of the nature of the race, we were able to see the riders pretty frequently as they rode the course.

Dallin was our photographer for the occasion. Not too bad for a 8-year old. This is one of my favorites:

Oh, yeah--look at those legs!

Stephan was in charge of holding Dana's mini-bike pump. Somehow, it ended up having a part broken off by the end of the race....oops!

Michaela was in charge of holding the water. I think Stephan wanted to trade jobs.

Another one of Dallin's great shots. Good job Dallin!

Oh, fyi, Dana placed something out of something in the race. I didn't really keep track. As Dana put it, "I finished the race and I didn't fall once!" (Or something like that) I just thought it was cool to watch and be a part of.

That's really cool! You and my sister have both started to take up "real" bike riding, and I am starting to get jealous! She just competed in one called the "Little Red Riding Hood" race. You get to choose your distance, they have a huge breakfast spread before the race and lunch spread after the race, free massages at the end of the race, and the best part: NO men allowed! The only men that could come were the ones serving the women! Awesome, huh?
And way to go Dana!
