Lovin' the Holidays

This is what I made for my family craft exchange this year. I saw a similar set at a friend's house, but she had done "FALL"--she got the idea from a Papercraft magazine.

I loved it, but since I will be giving this craft out this month, I thought it'd be more fun to give them a craft for a holiday coming up instead of a season that was ending.

For Thanksgiving, we had a nice time at my parents' place. I just love having a good homemade Thanksgiving meal that I didn't have to make! I only had to bring a few pies (Alex made a pumpkin pie and I made an apple one).

It wasn't until after our feast that day that I realized I hadn't taken any pictures--Alex, however, was good enough to get a couple of Michaela and her 'olive fingers'.

I also wish I had a picture of Dallin that day. He surprised us with a Thanksgiving reading. Seriously, all on his own, he picked out a library book on Thanksgiving, copied it word for word on blank paper (I didn't know he was working on this for days before Thanksgiving), and then read it to us after we ate. What a cutie! He totally has a sentimental side which is very endearing.

And, finally, a Thank you to my awesome husband for thinking of me yesterday. Another year gone by. Crazy. At least I have lots of little kids to chase around to keep my mind off of how old I am getting!
