Halloween '07

Okay, just in case you are wondering....last night we had a cute little cow, a pink monkey, Ben 10 (cartoon Network), Heatblast (also from Ben 10), and Elizabeth Swann.

First we went to our tri-ward Trunk or Treat. Michaela was so funny. She didn't talk at all--except to say 'Thank you' once in a while. I think there was just too much to look at with all the people in costumes all around. Dana was sick, so I am SO glad Alex was willing to push Stephan around so I could hold onto Michaela.

After the Trunk or Treat, we went Trick or Treating with my sister and nephew in their neighborhood. Michaela somehow did a huge turnaround and ran way ahead of us--laughing and making jokes. At one house, a lady asked the kids if they wanted "peanut or milk chocolate". Michaela's answer: "Two chocolates!"

It was fun, but didn't take too long before everyone was worn out and ready go back to the house.

Just a side note, if any of you are like me and cringe at the thought of your children eating so much candy--I have them take some candy out of their stash--whatever they want--and I save it for decorating gingerbread houses in December. (I think I read that idea online somewhere) I am usually surprised at how much they are willing to save.
Hope you all had a great holiday!

That saving candy for gingerbread houses idea is so smart! I'm going to do that.

That is a good idea. I'll have to use that when Mckenzie is older. I didn't take her trick or treating. She's really to young to care.....which is nice:) I can't imagine how much candy you guys get at Halloween with five of them! That's a lot of ginger bread houses:)

You always do such a good job on costumes. Alex looks so grown up.
